Splitting my time between Blackwood and the new studio at Watervale leaves little time for new sport designs to be completed, so in the meantime some examples of what can be achieved, like what you see ?…. want to have your club or association emblem, mascot set for lacrosse uniforms t shirt, shooting shirt or shorts, boardies, boxers , maybe a hoody. I followed the Aussie ute racing from when they first began and were known as “the V8 BRutes”, so with the call and the opportunity to work with Craig Denyer and Bill West at Spherix came the moment to fullfill a lifetime dream, the test … to design a mark and assist in creating a brand for this exciting category of motor racing.
Take an every day ute, Ford or Holden, make controlled and consistent modifications, insert driver, mix in some entertainment factor and you get …. “the category needs to be brutish to keep the fans pleased, but it also needs controlled costs and controlled driver standards. That can be a tough compromise, there needs to be the biff and bash, but if there is too much of it then teams may not survive the financial costs and teams disappear – not good for the vehicle sponsors or the corporate sponsors of the class itself.”
How to reflect that, a street sign concept, hazard stripes for the biff and bash, a wasp has a black yellow striped tail for a reason ! – add a traditional looking chrome badge for the name, apply the flexibility to adjust and the V8 utes brand was born, an exciting category of motor sport, I am excited to work with – ” Battle. Mêlée. Skirmish. Blood.

The 2010/11 SportSA Annual Report presents the success of the South Australian Sports Federation and was approached as an opportunity to communicate, reinforce and share the vision of the professional sports industry association. I first prepared designs for SAGE Automation in 2001, their first year diving into V8 Ute racing. I have designed the livery for the SAGE Racing Team every year since. Stay tuned for an update gallery of each design through the last ten years. The livery shown developed for the start of the 2008 season has been carried through to date.
I am very proud to be associated with V8 Ute Racing and the SAGE Racing team.

The Australian Lacrosse Asssociation Visual Identity comprises multiple components:
THE ‘SHEILD’
Lacrosse is a game of fluid activity, unique, with behind the goal tactics and bold individual goal scoring drives. The curving and arcing lines replicate the strength and activity of this great game. They are representative of the ball movements, player position and team strategy around the goal circle, whilst forming a triangular shape and stylised head of a Crosse, (lacrosse stick).
The AUSTRALIA OUTLINE is inclusive of all states.
The ALA comprises 6 member states –
New South Wales Lacrosse Inc., Queensland Lacrosse Association, Lacrosse South Australia, Lacrosse Tasmania, Lacrosse Victoria, Lacrosse West
With the key components connected by THE SOUTHERN CROSSE, our position within the world of lacrosse is reinforced as the “Team Down Under “.
The outer shape is strong and becomes “shield like” in it’s presentation providing positive attitude that Lacrosse in Australia is a country of winners.
