Vector illustration is a popular technique of many digital illustrators worldwide. Vector graphics are ideal for simple or composite drawings. Vector art is great for original art and can be used with all printing formats, since the art is made from a series of mathematical curves it will print very crisply even when resized. For instance, one can print a vector design at business card size and then enlarge the same design to billboard size whilst keeping the same crisp quality and colour control. A low-resolution raster graphic (jpeg, tiff or similar) would blur or pixelate excessively if it were enlarged from business card size to billboard size.
In amongst the huge challenges of COVID’19 Tourism Barossa took to the region to present the next Vintage Festival and deliver they did. We were very pleased to again be asked to design the branding format and assemble the media program along with all art and designs for the associated activities. A new opportunity presented and Southern Garden & Property Maintenance was born. Logo development, business cards produced and trailer signage sorted.
As vector drawn illustrations the five planes in the 92 Wing command have been printed direct to aluminium composite, profile cut to shape and mounted to a stand alone alone display wall using a clear acrylic post. the letters are 3D cut from a hi-impact panel and painted to a gloss finish. Total length around 12m the display generates many comments.
As Presenting Partners we are proud to present our design for the branding of the 2019 Barossa Vintage Festival. We’re local and bring our experience to you from our studio in Greenock, Barossa Valley.
Our brief was to focus on the standout elements of our region and the event while creating a market atmosphere to highlight the Ziegenmarkt and Scarecrow Competition.
Understanding that branding extends beyond the logo, for the Festival we have developed the promotional vehicle and merchandise, Festival Guide and Program, website and social media branding…and there is more to come.
At the launch event the silhouettes came to life and will continue to feature in prominent locations in the lead up to the event.

Launching the new business name with the “Coastal Who – New Name, Same Service” campaign at an In Store, Business Victor Harbor Network Event. I have been working with Sport SA on different projects for a number of years, and details have now been formalised for the inaugural Adelaide Sport Fitness and Health Festival set down for December 7th and 8th this year at the Festival Centre and Riverbank Precinct, what a fabulous showcase.
The Festival will include a Fitness and Health Expo in the Festival Centre precinct as well as a Sport focused Exhibition with Activity Zones at Elder Park and the Event Space outside Regattas Restaurant. The Torrens Parade Ground and upper level Festival Centre Plaza will also host a range of demonstrations and pop up activities.
Festival Manager Peter Spry will be contacting all Sport SA members and other interested parties in the next two weeks seeking expressions of interest in taking up exhibitor sites as well as sponsorship opportunities. Later this month a NEW Festival website link will showcase on the NEW Sport SA website.
